Proposed Strategy:
Proposed Strategy National Entrepreneurship Association (NEA) to acquire KidCommerce as an affiliate regional organization Existing KidCommerce organization can possibly become a regional non-profit organization under the umbrella of the NEA. NEA would provide funding assistance and other services to KidCommerce in exchange for minimum control over programming and the right to create other regional KidCommerce organizations. In addition, NEA would participate in the KidCommerce board to help facilitate Board development and organizational growth. Relationship would be setup through minor adjustments to the KidCommerce Bylaws.
KidCommerce Benefits from Proposed Affiliation:
KidCommerce Benefits from Proposed Affiliation NEA will provide funding assistance to KidCommerce and continue to financially support programs until the organization is stable NEA will employ the Executive Assistant and provide temporary Executive Assistant services as an in-kind contribution to KidCommerce Gary Robinson will serve as a voluntary Executive Director until such time that the Executive Director’s salary can be paid for through grants or other funding Gary Robinson to donate a portion of past debt KidCommerce will remain an independent, local organization – controlling the Piedmont Triad Region Current revenues shall be used to payoff debtors
Benefits to NEA from Proposed Affiliation:
Benefits to NEA from Proposed Affiliation NEA to have the permanent right to select one KidCommerce Board member to represent NEA KidCommerce will be required to implement a minimum set of programs as prescribed by NEA from time-to-time NEA will have the right to duplicate KidCommerce in other geographic regions NEA to receive funds from KidCommerce to support student involvement in national programs (i.e. conferences, business plan competitions, etc.) NEA to receive membership fees for KidCommerce members
