Slide 1:

Take some time out to read this important message…

Slide 2:

Once upon a time there was a boy with who had a terrible character. His father gave him a bag full of nails and told him that each time he lost his patience or argued with someone, he should hammer one of these nails into the floor of the garden’s patio.

Slide 3:

In the first day he hammered 37 nails into the patio floor. During the following weeks, he learnt to control himself and so the number of nails he would hammer into the patio floor, became less day by day : he discovered it was easier to learn how to control himself, than to keep hammering nails.

Slide 4:

Finally, the day came in which the boy never hammered a single nail into the patio floor. So he went to his father and told him that today, he didn’t need to hammer any nails whatsoever.

Slide 5:

And so then, his father told him to go and pull out one nail for each day that he manages to not lose his temper. The days passed and finally the boy could go and tell his father that he had pulled out all of the nails he had once hammered into floor.

Slide 6:

His father took his son infront of the lovely garden patio floor and said to him: « Son, you have behaved well, but look how many holes you have left in the floor…

Slide 7:

It will never be the same again. When you argue with someone and you speak such nasty words, You leave them with wounds like these holes ».

Slide 8:

You could strike someone with your a sword, and then withdraw it, but you will always leave a wound. It doesn’t matter how many times you excuse yourself, but the wound will remain.   A verbal wound makes as much damage as a physical wound. In the end, being truly sorry and being truly forgiven will heal all wounds, and the past must be forgotten and all can be as new. But it is easier to avoid hurting others and repairing situations, than it is to control ourselves and think before we act and cause others and ourselves emotional and psychological harm. ‘Prepare and prevent’ is better than ‘repair and repent’.

Slide 9:

Never make fun of other people’s dreams, Love deeply andPassionately, those you love and whatever you do,

Slide 10:

Remember that the greatest love and the biggest successes, involve taking the greatests risks.

Slide 11:

When you lose, don’t forget the lesson learnt, pick yourself up and keep trying, never give up and never stop moving forwards, and let go of the past, and make yourself a future.

Slide 12:

Remember the three "R’s": - Respect yourself Respect others - Responsibility for all your actions.

Slide 13:

Don’t allow a minor transgression to destroy a great friendship; When you realise you have made an error, correct yourself immediately.

Slide 14:

Remember, not having what you always want, at times, can be a stroke of luck in the long run...

Slide 15:

If you’ve stayed to read this far, well it means you are a patient person, willing to learn and give time to others and discover something new.
