Each year, 1.7 million girls are "missing" in China. Where are these girls? What happens to them? Since Organizations such as Human Rights Watch, World Health Organization or Amnesty are silent, novelist Talia Carner set out to find answers.

China's "Missing" girls
|
|
The first human right is the right to live. Yet, in China, each year, 1.7 million girls are "missing." As an author studying the subject, I was appalled at the silence by all human rights and health organizations--as well as governments. I conducted a statistical analysis and presented it at the U.N.
