Audio on different office versions is supported in different ways with authorPOINT Lite.

1) If you have office XP/2003 then aP Lite will pick audio only if it is added to the PowerPoint using MS PowerPoint's Add Narrations feature.

2) However, on office 2007 we also support Linked/Embedded audio files and Transition sounds. Following formats are supported to some extent- Wav file, Mp3 files. (.wma format is not supported)

Also, before you convert using aP Lite, make sure the 'Use if found' option is selected on 'Presentation Settings' tab of Options window in aP Lite

Hi,
Currently there is no such option on authorSTREAM. May be in near future authorSTREAM can provide this option.

When someone views my power point, they also see the full transcript of every slide.
How to turn this off?
i want them to read the words on the slides when they watch the presentation.

I also have sound in my powerpoint.
I used the authorPOINT lite as recommended.
The sound icon shows on my page indicating that the presentation has sound, however - no sound plays.

Hi,
It seems your presentation contains linked media files (Narrations) that won't get uploaded with the powerpoint file. Please follow the steps explained in the document http://www.authorgen.com/Downloads/Linked%20Media%20files.doc how to embed linked media in a presentation.

Unfortunately , authorSTREAM do have some issue with the audio (Narrated) presentation created on non MS Windows OS (MAC). Work around is to create the presentation on Windows OS and upload it again. Hope this will help you out.

I successfully uploaded a narrated ppt using the "Record Narration" feature in MS Ppt 2008 on my mac. However, I've uploaded two files recently and can't hear the audio after uploading. Any suggestions?

Hi I am trying to use the API to upload files , using REST HTTP Upload , my client first sets the required ppt details and developer key and gets the uploadToken , and I m passing this uploadToken along with the byte[] array of the file to be uploaded , but I always see this error in my account after upload , upload also doesnot take time , in 20 secs I
get the response XML , but when I try to play , it says error "Could not process" , I am attaching a screenshot for the same.
