Yes, you can do so if the user who uploaded the presentation has given permission for file download. You can find this out by checking the download icon right next to the presentation.

You can contact the owner of the presentation through comments section whose presentation is not downloadable and request for the same.

I downloaded a presentation, but it was in lots of separate pieces - many XML files. How do you reassemble all the pieces back into a single powerpoint presentation?

After presentation upload you can allow its download from Presentation page (option is below player) and from http://www.authorstream.com/MyUploaded-Presentations/All page (Edit presentation info)

Hi, Downloading presentation from authorSTREAM is quite simple. If you want to download your own presentation then go to http://www.authorstream.com/MyUploaded-Presentations/All page and click on download icon (right hand side of presentation thumbnail) and if you want to download presentation of another user then just click on presentation download icon to start download of presentation provided owner of that presentation has allowed download. Presentations which are available for download will have PowerPoint icon (below the player) to start download. If download icon is grayed out then you won’t be able to download presentation. You can request uploader of presentation through comments section to allow download in such cases.
